BioI am a married college student majoring in voice performance and pedagogy. Obviously, with my major, I'm a singer. I've loved opera for as long as I can remember, and I've recently come to enjoy musical theatre as well. I enjoy most types of music, but classical (in the common, broad sense of the term, not specifically that time period alone) and Broadway musicals are my favorites. I also enjoy reading, writing, and sewing (particularly recreations of movie costumes). Due to the general busyness of being both a music major and a wife, my writing time is minimal, but I do try to squeeze it in when I can because I enjoy writing. My favorite books tend to be historical fiction, and I would like to write something publishable in that genera someday. For now I practice writing fan fiction. One of my greatest loves is The Phantom of the Opera, especially the original novel by Gaston Leroux. My obsession with Phantom began in June of 2003, the first time I head the Original London Cast CD of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical. At the point when I discovered the ALW musical, I was pretty clueless as far as other versions go. I had seen the Claude Rains movie (which I don't care for much), and that was all. But now I read, watch, and collect everything Phantom that I can get my hands on. My favorite versions of Phantom are as follows: 1) Leroux, 2) Phantom by Susan Kay, 3) Andrew Lloyd Webber Stage Version, 4) Andrew Lloyd Webber 2004 Movie Version, 5) Lon Chaney 1925 and 1929 Movies, and 6) Charles Dance TV Mini Series, with the other versions following thereafter in no particular order.
Other favorite movies include Braveheart, The Patriot, Timeline, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Other favorite musicals include The Woman in White, Jekyll and Hyde, The Civil War, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Secret Garden, and Les Miserable.
